I created this blog because I love food and talking about food, I’m passionate about nutrition and healthy lifestyles, and I’d love to help other people who are going through a similar situation. I know that adapting to a new lifestyle/way of eating can be difficult (even if your health depends on it!). I’m not an expert chef (yet!) and I secretly loathe beets and celery- but I try. I’m still learning but I do have some knowledge that I picked up in college and I study nutrition and health on my own for fun. I’m currently looking into applying to masters and PhD programs related to nutrition, nutritional biochemistry, and nutritional epidemiology. As well as applying to naturopathic medical schools.
You can read more about me and why I started this blog when I did here. In a nutshell, several months ago I started having chronic stomach pain, digestive issues, and new food sensitivities all of which just came out of the blue. I got no real help from doctors and I decided to try to heal myself through food. Noms. Fast forward a few months later- I started seeing a new doctor and am now following a low FODMAP paleo diet and I’m already feeling so much better!! No more stomach pain! Learn more here. Don’t worry – low FODMAP paleo is still tasty!
Switching to a whole food lifestyle has only changed my life for the better. Read why I follow a whole food lifestyle here. It’s probably a cliché but I feel like I’m on a whole other level of feeling good.
Things about me: I recently graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, I love pandas, my favorite color is teal, I speak fluent Spanish, my eyes change from blue to gray to green, and I am a total klutz. I literally took one step into my apartment the other day and fell flat on my face. C’est la vie.
